Elf follows the story of an Elf named Buddy, played by Will Ferrell. This elf was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a child, where he grew up with Santa’s elves. He can’t shake the feeling that he is somehow an outcast. As an adult, he goes to New York looking for his real father decked out in an elf uniform. He finds his father, but it wasn’t what he expected to find.
Even still, the enthusiastic “elf” tries to connect with him; the results are rather chaotic. Add a romantic interest played by Zooey Deschanel to the list and you’ve got a Christmas comedy!
Is Elf on Netflix? Yes, but only in a few countries – and the US is not one of them. You can, though, watch the trailer for the movie below to get a feel of its atmosphere and plot.
